Welcome to my website! I am an experienced graphic designer in the New York Metro Area. My skills include print and multimedia design, as well as photography. Get to know me a little better by reading more or check out my portfolio to get a feel for my style.
A love of all things art and design is in my blood. My aunt was a fashion illustrator and my grandmother used to design her own dresses and redesign frocks she already owned. Unfortunately, growing up in a rural Pennsylvania town didn’t have much to offer when it came to instruction in art and music. My small Catholic elementary school even cut the art program for a few years, but my parents searched and searched, and somehow found people to teach me music, painting, drawing and sculpture.
Their hard work paid off, because when it came time for me to choose a college, Pratt Institute, one of the best art and design schools in the country, was a no brainer. Uprooting my life from small town Pennsylvania to Brooklyn, NY was a culture shock, to say the least. Everything was strange and different, from the students, to the way of life, and even the food. I quickly grew to love the school and especially New York City. I decided to major in graphic design but took electives in photography, art history, painting, printmaking and writing. I loved it all and to this day, I still have a hard time choosing one passion.
I’ve worked in print design creating logos, brochures, fliers, invitations and tee shirts, as well as in broadcast doing still and animated graphics. My knack for being detail oriented, organized and efficient has gained me experience in project management. I shoot product photography as well as natural light photography. When I felt that my passion for design was waning, I went back to school get my certificate in art appraisal and added general art and antique appraiser to my list of talents.
